What to Expect in the Decluttering Phase

In the decluttering phase of a home organization project, we’ll guide you through a time-tested process for learning to recognize which possessions are still serving you and which are causing stress or guilt. You’ll always remain in control. What you decide to keep and what you decide to say goodbye to will always be your choice.

In the Decluttering Phase, We Handle the Logistics

• For items you decide to donate, we’ll pack them up, clean them if needed, and then take them to a donation center for you.
• For unwanted furniture, we will organize with a local charity for pickup.
• Of course, we also ensure hazardous materials are disposed of safely, electronics are recycled responsibly, and any unexpired, unwanted shelf-stable food is donated to a local food pantry.

Then, We Organize Your Space

Once the decluttering phase is completed, the really fun part—organizing your home so it’s just the way you’ve always imagined it—can begin!

In the home organization phase of the project, the goal is two-fold: to make your space more functional and more beautiful.

What to Expect in the Organization Phase

We’ll start by making sure we fully understand how you will be using the space, strategize which organizing solutions will work best for you, establish your budget for new storage products, and ask you about your aesthetic preferences.

With your approval and within your budget, we’ll shop for new storage systems and then bring them with us when we come to organize.

It’s your choice how involved (or uninvolved) you want to be in the organization stage. You can sit back and relax or you can be more hands-on. Since we are creating a customized space for you, we will always make sure that the organizing solutions fit your needs and preferences.

Finally, once you agree that everything is just right, we add labels to help you keep your space organized.
